Breaking Monotony?

Of past promises and insane dreams
Coupled with unrealistic truths and hypothetical beliefs,
Of Favourite times gone by,
There’s something very dear we all left behind.

Even occasional reminiscences bring a wide smile,
The hero of our imaginations
Asking the person we turned out to be.
Was there no bridge to those imaginations?
Are promises so brittle and fragile?
The gap between idealism and realism will be the only answer that remains.

Nothing’s ever really out of reach,
Nothing’s ever really sitting that far away,
It might only be a step’s distance
But that of determination and foresight,
And of sheer never-ending faith.

Are we willing to go tread that remaining path?
Breaking barriers and fighting conventions?
Well, impossible surely, if we never even try,
For who knows how the journey will be,
But of course, learnings and experience
Are still worth the while and a blessing, right?
